Jira

Connect Jira to push execution plan tasks as issues and track progress from ProductBet.

Why connect Jira?

When you decide to act on an opportunity and create a bet, the next step is planning the work. With Jira connected, you can push your execution plan tasks directly to Jira as issues, and track their progress without leaving ProductBet.

What Jira provides

  • Push tasks to Jira - turn your bet's execution plan into Jira issues with one click
  • Track live status - see the current status and assignee of each Jira issue directly in ProductBet
  • Choose project and issue type - select which Jira project and issue type to use when pushing tasks

How to connect

Go to Settings > Integrations > Jira and click Connect with OAuth. You'll be redirected to Atlassian to authorize ProductBet to access your Jira workspace. After authorization, the integration is active.

Using Jira with bets

Pushing tasks

  1. Open a bet and go to the Execution tab
  2. Create your plan (manually or with AI-generated tasks)
  3. Select a Jira project and issue type
  4. Click Push to Jira
  5. Each task becomes a Jira issue, and the issue link appears in ProductBet

Tracking progress

Once tasks are pushed, the Execution tab shows live status for each issue:

  • Current workflow state (e.g., "In Progress," "Done")
  • Who the issue is assigned to
  • A link to open the issue directly in Jira

Troubleshooting

  • Can't push tasks? Make sure the integration shows as "Connected" and that you've selected a project and issue type.
  • Status not updating? Issue statuses are fetched live when you view the Execution tab. Try refreshing the page.
  • Session expired? If Jira shows an error, your OAuth token may have expired. Disconnect and reconnect on the Jira integration page.
  • Need to re-sync? Use the "Reset sync" option on the Jira integration page to clear the sync state and start fresh.
