Notifications

Stay informed about new opportunities, bet updates, and important events in ProductBet.

How notifications work

ProductBet keeps you informed when important things happen in your workspace. You won't miss a new opportunity or a bet that needs attention.

Notifications appear in the bell icon at the top of the sidebar. Unread notifications show a count badge so you can see at a glance if anything needs your attention.

What triggers notifications

EventWhat it means
New opportunityA new opportunity has been surfaced from your signals
Bet status changedA bet moved to a different stage (e.g., from Exploring to Building)
Measurement completeResults have been recorded for a bet

Notification channels

You can receive notifications through two channels:

  • In-app - notifications appear inside ProductBet and as browser push notifications
  • Email - get notified in your inbox

Configuring your preferences

Each team member controls their own notification preferences. Go to Settings > Notifications, toggle each notification type on or off for each channel, and changes apply immediately.

Managing notifications

From the notification center (bell icon in the sidebar):

  • Click a notification to go directly to the related opportunity or bet
  • Mark individual notifications as read
  • Mark all as read to clear everything at once
  • Delete notifications you no longer need

Push notifications

ProductBet supports browser push notifications on desktop. When you first visit the app, you'll be prompted to allow push notifications. If you allow them, you'll get real-time alerts even when you're not actively using ProductBet.

Tips

  • Start with the defaults and adjust as you get familiar with the signal volume
  • Email notifications are useful if you don't check ProductBet every day
  • Push notifications help you stay responsive without keeping the app open
  • You won't get notified about your own actions (e.g., if you change a bet's status, you won't get a notification for it)
